हिंदी पखवाड़ा 2023/Hindi Pakhwada 2023 प्रतिवर्ष सितम्बर माह के दौरान सभी सरकारी व गैर सरकारी संस्थानों में हिंदी पखवाड़ा का आयोजन किया जाता है । यह मूलत: दो चरणों में पालन किया जाता है कुछ संस्थान 1 से 15 सितम्बर तथा कुछ संस्थान 14 से 28 तक इस पखवाड़े को मनाते हैं ।

हिंदी दिवस 2023 / Hindi Diwas 2023 हिंदी भाषा विश्वभर में बोले जाने सर्वाधिक भाषाओं में से एक है । भारत देश में दिनांक 14 सितम्बर को प्रतिवर्ष हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है । इसका मूल उद्देश्य हिंदी भाषा को बढावा देना है । यह माना जाता है कि हिंदी विश्व की तीसरी सबसे ज्यादा बोली जाने वाली भाषा है । सबसे ज्यादा अंग्रेजी, उसके बाद मंदारियन चीनी भाषा तथा उसके बाद हिंदी भाषा का स्थान आता है । करीबन 602 मिलियन लोग इस भाषा का उपयोग अपने विचारो का आदान प्रदान करने के लिए उपयोग करते है । आईये जानते है इसकी शुरूआत कब से हुई – यह माना जाता है कि इसकी शुरूआत सन्‌ 1953 से हुई उस जवाहर लाल नेहरू जी ने 14 सितम्बर को प्रतिवर्ष हिंदी दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की थी । तभी से 14 सितम्बर को राष्ट्रीय हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाने लगा । एक रोचक तथ्य यह भी है कि विश्व हिंदी दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 10 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है । अत: प्रतिवर्ष भारत दो बार हिंदी दिवस मनाता है ।

हिंदी दिवस अब आईये हम यह जाने कि हमें हिन्दी दिवस मनाने कि आवश्यकता क्यों हुई – हिन्दी भारत की प्रमुख भाषा है लेकिन अंग्रेजी भाषा की अपार उपयोगिता को देखते हुए । भारत सरकार कई बहुमूल्य कदम समय – समय उठाए है उनमें से हिन्दी दिवस तथा हिंदी पखवाड़ा का मनाना एक हैं । हिन्दी भाषा कीं उपयोगिता को बढाने के लिए भी हम कह सकते है कि ये दिवस मनाये जाते है । इस दौरान सरकारी तथा गैर सरकारी संस्थानो में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओ का आयोजन बडी ही उत्साह के साथ किया जाता है । इतना ही नही नगद राशि भी पुरस्कार के रूप में प्रदान की जाती है ताकि प्रतिभागियो को इन प्रतियोगिताओं में हिस्सा लेने के लिए प्रेरित किया जा सके । कुछ गिने-प्रतियोगिताये इस प्रकार है – क्विज, निबंध लेखन, पत्र लेखन, मसौदा लेखन, हिंदी कविता पाठ, वाचन, हिन्दी शब्द ज्ञान प्रतियोगिता, हिंदी स्लोगन लेखन , हिंदी आशुभाषण प्रतियोगिता ,हिंदी सुलेख लेखन इत्यादि । इस दिवस के अवसर पर एक ऑनलाईन प्रश्नो-उत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन पुस्तकालय विभाग द्वारा किया जा रहा है आप सभी छात्र-छात्राओ, अभिवाको और शिक्षकों से अनुरोध है कि इस प्रतियोगिता में हिस्सा लें और अपना ज्ञानवर्धन करें –

National Sports Day 2023

India celebrates National Sports Day on 29 August every year. It is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. Hockey is the national game of our country.

Major Dhyan Chand is considered as the wizard (magician) of hockey in India. Hence, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Announced in 2012 to celebrate the 29th of August as a national sports Day every year to commemorate the 107th birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. In 2023 we are going to celebrate the 12th anniversary of National Sports Day in our country.

The main motive to celebrate this day is to motivate the young children of our country to maximum participate in sports. Not only for the future perspective but also to remain fit in their life.

On this day every school college educational institution will celebrate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, They conduct many activities like games and sports tournaments, Exhibitions, drawing and painting competitions, quizzes, etc. Again all these activities are to be performed to inculcate the young ones about the importance of the day so that they can understand something from the great players of our country.

Now we will see some important facts about Major Dhyanchand –

He was born on 29 August 1905 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
He was fond of playing hockey. He played several district, state, and national-level games.
He won gold medals in the Olympics in the years 1928, 1932, and 1936.
He was known for his control over the ball dribbling hence he was called the wizard or the magician of this game.
He played 185 matches and did more than 400 goals in his career and gave victory to India in various important matches.
He was awarded with Padma Shri in the year 1956.

TERI Green Olympiad 2023

GREEN Olympiad is a leading school-based initiative of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The journey started in 1999 as India’s premier environment quiz for school students. It has since incorporated within itself several stages of initiatives at TERI in the field of sustainability transformation matching the aspirations of the academic community and established itself as an Environment Education brand. Reaching out to nearly 2000 schools annually in India and abroad, GREEN Olympiad is designed for students of Standard 4–12 with its objective being to sensitize and build capacity of students on environment, sustainability, and green skills.

GREEN Olympiad examination addresses a range of topics such as water, waste, energy, air, biodiversity, climate, global warming, sustainable development, culture, green skills and current affairs pertaining to environment and sustainable development.

The paper comprises of multiple choice questions that test students’ knowledge, application, analytical skills and simultaneously spreads awareness through informative questions. There is no negative marking and students are expected to appear for a paper based examination within the confines of the school.

In 2023, GREEN Olympiad will be held OFFLINE on September 1, 2023 and October 12, 2023. Schools have an option to choose any one date for conducting the examination. Last date for submitting registration along with supporting details is 31 July, 2023.

NCERT: Newly released textbooks for classes 1 and 2

58th Meeting of the General Council of NCERT:

Hon'ble Union Minister of Education Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan Ji, Ministry of Education, Government of India graced the occasion as the President of NCERT and Chairman of the 58th Meeting of the General Council of NCERT held on 4 July 2023.

In the beginning of the meeting, the Hon'ble Union Minister of Education released NCERT textbooks for classes 1 and 2 and highlighted the significance of these textbooks. In his address, he said that these new generation textbooks have been developed based on the NEP-2020 and National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage ( NCF-FS) 2022. Play is in the core of these textbooks, which will motivate children to learn with interest and joy. These will be helpful in the holistic development of children, ensure joyful learning at the foundational stage, as envisaged by NEP-2020. He further emphasized that the teacher training is key for achieving quality and all the teachers at the foundational stage should be trained on priority basis to equip them to successfully transact the curriculum in schools. He further said that handholding of DIETs and SCERTs needs to be done to realise the curricular goals. The Hon'ble Minister has desired that these books must be available in scheduled Indian Languages initially in digital form and gradually in physical form.

Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director-NCERT welcomed Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan Ji, Hon'ble Union Minister of Education, Government of India; Mrs Annpurna Devi, Hon'ble Minister of State for Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India; Ministers of Education from States and UTs, Secretaries of Education from States/UTs, other officials from States/UTs, MoE-GoI, NCERT, CBSE, etc.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion include Sh. Sanjay Kumar Ji, Secretary, DoSEL-MoE-GoI; Prof. M Jagadeesh Kumar, Chairman UGC; Prof. J S Rajput, Former Director,NCERT; Prof. Sridhar Srivastava, Joint Director NCERT; Prof. Pratyush Kumar Mandal, Secretary, NCERT and other officials from States/UTs, MoE-GoI, NCERT, CBSE, etc.

The meeting was organised at Dr. Ambedkar International Convention Centre, New Delhi and about 50 participants attended this meeting through face to face and online mode.
