NCERT: Newly released textbooks for classes 1 and 2

Press Release 4 July, 2023:

58th Meeting of the General Council of NCERT:

Hon'ble Union Minister of Education Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan Ji, Ministry of Education, Government of India graced the occasion as the President of NCERT and Chairman of the 58th Meeting of the General Council of NCERT held on 4 July 2023.

In the beginning of the meeting, the Hon'ble Union Minister of Education released NCERT textbooks for classes 1 and 2 and highlighted the significance of these textbooks. In his address, he said that these new generation textbooks have been developed based on the NEP-2020 and National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage ( NCF-FS) 2022. Play is in the core of these textbooks, which will motivate children to learn with interest and joy. These will be helpful in the holistic development of children, ensure joyful learning at the foundational stage, as envisaged by NEP-2020. He further emphasized that the teacher training is key for achieving quality and all the teachers at the foundational stage should be trained on priority basis to equip them to successfully transact the curriculum in schools. He further said that handholding of DIETs and SCERTs needs to be done to realise the curricular goals. The Hon'ble Minister has desired that these books must be available in scheduled Indian Languages initially in digital form and gradually in physical form.

Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director-NCERT welcomed Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan Ji, Hon'ble Union Minister of Education, Government of India; Mrs Annpurna Devi, Hon'ble Minister of State for Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India; Ministers of Education from States and UTs, Secretaries of Education from States/UTs, other officials from States/UTs, MoE-GoI, NCERT, CBSE, etc.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion include Sh. Sanjay Kumar Ji, Secretary, DoSEL-MoE-GoI; Prof. M Jagadeesh Kumar, Chairman UGC; Prof. J S Rajput, Former Director,NCERT; Prof. Sridhar Srivastava, Joint Director NCERT; Prof. Pratyush Kumar Mandal, Secretary, NCERT and other officials from States/UTs, MoE-GoI, NCERT, CBSE, etc.

The meeting was organised at Dr. Ambedkar International Convention Centre, New Delhi and about 50 participants attended this meeting through face to face and online mode.

Ambedkar Jayanti 2023: संविधान निर्माता के तौर पर प्रसिद्ध बाबा साहेब भीमराव अंबेडकर की जयंती हर साल 14 अप्रैल के दिन मनाई जाती है। बाबा साहेब की जयंती को पूरे देश में लोग मनाते हैं। डाॅ. भीमराव अंबेडकर को भारत रत्न से सम्मानित किया जा चुका है। उनका पूरा जीवन संघर्षरत रहा है। उन्होंने भारत की आजादी के बाद देश के संविधान के निर्माण में अभूतपूर्व योगदान दिया। बाबा साहेब ने कमजोर और पिछड़े वर्ग के अधिकारों के लिए पूरा जीवन संघर्ष किया। डॉ. अंबेडकर सामाजिक नवजागरण के अग्रदूत और समतामूलक समाज के निर्माणकर्ता थे। अंबेडकर समाज के कमजोर, मजदूर, महिलाओं आदि को शिक्षा के जरिए सशक्त बनाना चाहते थे। इसी कारण डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर की जयंती को भारत में समानता दिवस और ज्ञान दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

भीमराव अंबेडकर का जीवन परिचय

डाॅ. भीमराव अंबेडकर का जन्म मध्य प्रदेश के एक छोटे से गांव महू में 14 अप्रैल 1891 में हुआ था। हालांकि उनका परिवार मूल रूप से रत्नागिरी जिले से ताल्लुक रखता था। अंबेडकर के पिता का नाम रामजी मालोजी सकपाल था, वहीं उनकी माता भीमाबाई थीं। डॉ. अंबेडकर महार जाति के थे। ऐसे में उन्हें बचपन से ही भेदभाव का सामना करना पड़ा।

अंबेडकर की शिक्षा

बाबा साहेब बचपन से ही बुद्धिमान और पढ़ाई में अच्छे थे। हालांकि उस दौर में छुआछूत जैसी समस्याएं व्याप्त होने के कारण उनकी शुरुआती शिक्षा में काफी परेशानी आई। लेकिन उन्होंने जात पात की जंजीरों को तोड़ अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी की। मुंबई के एल्फिंस्टन रोड पर स्थित सरकारी स्कूल में वह पहले अछूत छात्र थे। बाद में 1913 में अंबेडकर ने अमेरिका के कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी से आगे की शिक्षा ली। यह एक बड़ी उपलब्धि थी कि साल 1916 में बाबा साहेब को शोध के लिए सम्मानित किया गया था।

बाबा साहेब को मिली डाॅक्टर की उपाधि

लंदन में पढ़ाई के दौरान उनकी स्कॉलरशिप खत्म होने के बाद वह स्वदेश वापस आ गए और यहीं मुंबई के सिडनेम कॉलेज में प्रोफेसर के तौर पर नौकरी करने लगे। 1923 में उन्होंने एक शोध पूरा किया था, जिसके लिए उन्हें लंदन यूनिवर्सिटी ने डॉक्टर ऑफ साइंस की उपाधि दी थी। बाद में साल 1927 में अंबेडकर ने कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी से भी पीएचडी पूरी की।

अंबेडकर का करियर

बाबा साहेब ने अपने जीवन में जात पात और असमानता का सामना किया। यही वजह है कि वह दलित समुदाय को समान अधिकार दिलाने के लिए कार्य करते रहे। अंबेडकर ने ब्रिटिश सरकार से पृथक निर्वाचिका की मांग की थी, जिसे मंजूरी भी दे दी गई थी लेकिन गांधी जी ने इसके विरोध में आमरण अनशन किया तो अंबेडकर ने अपनी मांग को वापस ले लिया।

बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर की उपलब्धि

अंबेडकर के राजनीतिक जीवन की बात करें तो उन्होंने लेबर पार्टी का गठन किया था। संविधान समिति के अध्यक्ष रहे। आजादी के बाद कानून मंत्री नियुक्त किया गया। बाद में बाॅम्बे नॉर्थ सीट से देश का पहला आम चुनाव लड़ा लेकिन हार का सामना करना पड़ा। बाबा साहेब राज्यसभा से दो बार सांसद चुने गए। वहीं 6 दिसंबर 1956 को डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर का निधन हो गया। उनके निधन के बाद साल 1990 में बाबा साहेब को भारत का सर्वोच्च सम्मान भारत रत्न से सम्मानित किया गया।

On January 30, 2023, India observed Martyrs’ Day or Shaheed Diwas to pay tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country. The day is also marked as the death anniversary of the nation’s ‘Bapu’, Mahatma Gandhi. On this day in 1948, Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse in the compound of Birla House after one of his routine multi-faith prayer meetings. Godse, a member of Hindu Mahasabha, blamed Gandhi for favouring the Muslim community during the partition of India in 1947.

KVS Foundation Day Celebrated

The 59th Foundation Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya Gail Jhabua on 15th December on Friday.

The chief guest of the occasion, honourable Chairman’s Nominee Sh.Prem Rohra sir hoisted the flag. The special guest of the day was sh. Prabuddh Majumdar sir. The Principal –in-charge, Shri. Manish Trivedi welcomed the gathering.

The chief guest, in his speech, said that it was a matter of great pride that Kendriya Vidyalaya Gail Jhabua had produced good results in the board exams of the previous year. He blessed good wishes to students of our vidyalaya and praise for successful progress or accomplishment.

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा दिवस उत्सव 2022/ CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY 2022

National Education Day is an annual observance in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India, who served from 15 August 1947 until 2 February 1958. National Education Day of India is celebrated on 11 November every year.

On 11 September 2008, The Ministry of Education (formerly known as Ministry of Human Resource Development) decided to commemorate the birthday of this great son of India by recalling his contribution to the cause of education in India. Hence, 11th November every year, from 2008 onward, is being celebrated as the National Education Day.

Vigilance Awareness Week 2022-23

केंद्रीय विद्यालय गेल झाबुआ में हिंदी पखवाड़े के अन्तर्गत हिंदी पुस्तकों की प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया गया | प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन विद्यालय के प्रभारी प्राचार्य महोदय श्रीमान मनीष त्रिवेदी जी के मार्गदर्शन में प्रथम कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा फीता काट कर किया गया | इसके बाद प्रभारी प्राचार्य महोदय व सभी शिक्षको ने प्रदर्शनी का अवलोकन किया | पूर्वनिर्धारित कार्यक्रम के अनुसार कक्षा १ से लेकर १२ तक के सभी विद्यार्थियों द्वारा प्रदर्शनी का अवलोकन किया गया व प्राचार्य महोदय और सभी शिक्षको द्वारा प्रदर्शनी की सराहना की गयी |
प्रभारी प्राचार्य महोदय और शिक्षकों के अनुसार झाबुआ का पुस्तकालय पुस्तकों का भंडार है, जिसमें विभिन्न प्रकार की नीतिपरक मूल्य वर्धक ज्ञानवर्धक सभी प्रकार की प्रेरणा से ओतप्रोत पुस्तकें विद्यमान है| इनको पढ़कर निश्चित रूप से केंद्रीय विद्यालय झाबुआ के छात्र-छात्राएं लाभान्वित हो रहे हैं| सभी शिक्षक साथियों और सभी छात्र-छात्राओं को इस कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने के लिए पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष श्रीमान आलोक यादव जी ने आभार व्यक्त किया|

Hiroshima Day 2022

हर साल 6 अगस्त को हम परमाणु बम (Atomic Bomb) के विनाश के भयावहता को याद करने के लिए हिरोशिमा दिवस (Hiroshima Day 2022) मनाते है. 6 अगस्त 1945 को अमेरिका ने जापान (Japan) के हिरोशिमा पर पहला परमाणु बम गिराया था. इस बम के गिरने के बाद द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध समाप्त हो गया था।

क्या है इस दिन का मकसद

हिरोशिमा दिवस मनाने का मकसद दुनिया में शांति की राजनीति को प्रोत्साहित करना और परमाणु बम के हमले से होने वाले नुकसान के प्रति जागरुकता पैदा करना है. 1945 में हुआ यह परमाणु हमला दुनिया के किसी भी शहर पर हुआ पहला परमाणु हमला था. इसमें एक ही झटके में हजारों लोगों की जान चली गई थी.

देशभर में सितंबर को हर साल शिक्षक दिवस बड़े ही धूम धाम से मनाया जाता है. शिक्षकों के लिए इस खास दिन को इसलिए मनाते हैं क्योंकि इस ही दिन देश के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन का जन्मदिन हुआ था . ये दिन सभी शिक्षकों व गुरुओं के लिए खास होता है. इस दौरान देशभर के स्कूलों और कॉलेजों में कई तरह के कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता है. भारत में जहां 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस मनाया जाता है वहीं विदेशों में शिक्षक दिवस 5 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है |
